Prof. A. P. Gnana Prakash M.Sc, M.Phil, Ph.D, Post Doc (USA, Taiwan)

Prof. A. P. Gnana Prakash obtained his M.Sc (Physics, 1995) and M.Phil (Physics, 1996) degrees from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga. He did his Ph.D. (Physics, 2002) from Mangalore University, Mangalore. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, Taiwan during February 2003 to July 2004 and at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA during August 2004 to July 2006. In July 2007, he joined Department of Studies in Physics, University of Mysore as a Reader and became Professor in July 2013. Prof. Gnana Prakash has so far published 115 papers in peer reviewed and high impact factor journals. He has also presented 130 articles in National/International conferences. He has completed 7 research projects successfully such as DST, BRNS, UGC etc. He has successfully guided 10 Ph.D students and 7 more students are currently pursuing their Ph.D.

Prof. Gnana Prakash is a member of prestigious societies which include Semiconductor Society India, Ion Beam Society of India, Indian Society for Radiation Physics, Indian Association of Crystal Growth, Luminescence Society of India etc. Read more
