- MORAL & SPIRITUAL EDUCATION FOR ENGINEERS
The AICTE Induction Programme-II, First speech on Moral & Spiritual Education For Engineers and Traffic Safety & Crime Awareness was organized by the Mysore University School of Engineering (MUSE) on 02/06/2022. The Inauguration Programme was done by Dr. A P Gnana Prakash Registrar (Evaluation), Professor Dept of Physics UoM at Auditorium of Vignan Bhavan University of Mysore. Proceeding further Prof A P Gnana Prakash Registrar (Evaluation) stressed upon the differences between Science and Technology. He spoke about difference between conventional technology and new cutting edge technology considering mobile phones and computer systems as examples. Professor also briefed about Engineering course, standards and various career opportunities. Prof.Dr.T.Ananthapadmanaba, Director, School of Engineering, University of Mysore, addressed the gathering about the event.
The Speaker of the first Session Swami Shivakantanandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Institute of Moral & Spiritual Education(RIMSE), Mysuru gave an enlightenment speech about Ramkrishna Paramams and explained the moral values, spirituality of about Swamy Vivekaannada. He briefed about the principles of Swamy Vivekaannada such as self driven personality and leadership qualities .
After Tea refreshment, Mr.Chethan R, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Mysuru took up the Second session of the day 2 and briefed about the Traffic Safety & Crime Awareness for the audience. During his talk, he spoke about traffic safety prime factors, traffic rules and regulation during driving vehicles for students. The Police Officer gave information regarding the Crime awareness, problems encountered by cyber crimes to the society. He gave a brief information about bad effects of younger’s addicting to smoking and drugs. He also briefed about the UPSC preparations, basic requirements for students to take up the competitive examination. At the end of the sessions, there were the questions and answers for the students regarding the UPSC exams, and other queries after his speech. All students, Faculty members, office staff, media were present during the sessions.
